Tiana’s Bayou Adventure: Virtual Queue, Genie+, and Annual Passholder Preview Details Revealed
Starting June 28, guests at Magic Kingdom can look forward to experiencing Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and Walt Disney World has just released key information on how to access the attraction during its initial launch period.
Virtual Queue and Genie+ Access
Like TRON Lightcycle / Run, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will utilize a virtual queue system, helping to manage high demand while reducing physical wait times. Guests will have two daily opportunities to request access to the virtual queue via the My Disney Experience app:
-
7:00 AM (open to all guests with a valid Magic Kingdom park reservation)
-
1:00 PM (available to guests who have entered any park that day)
Importantly, there will be no standby line when the attraction opens. Disney has stated that they plan to transition to a traditional standby queue sometime after the grand opening, though no exact date has been given.
In addition to the virtual queue, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be included in the Genie+ service, giving guests another option to secure their ride time. This means you won’t need to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane to access the attraction, unlike some of Disney’s most in-demand rides.
Annual Passholder Preview Details
Walt Disney World has also announced special preview opportunities for Annual Passholders ahead of the official opening. Passholder previews will take place on the following dates:
June 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, and 20.
On each preview day, Passholders will have two chances to join a virtual queue:
-
7:00 AM: Available to Passholders with a Magic Kingdom reservation
-
1:00 PM: Available to any Passholder with a reservation to any park, as long as they’ve entered that reserved park earlier in the day
As a bonus, on June 13, 14, 17, 18, and 20, Passholders may enter Magic Kingdom after 2 PM without needing to first visit their reserved park — subject to capacity.
Planning to hop on TRON Lightcycle / Run or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind the same day? You’re in luck! During the Passholder preview period, guests can simultaneously join the virtual queue for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and one of those two attractions, if spots are available — a rare exception to the usual one-at-a-time rule for virtual queues.
About the Ride
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure invites guests to join Princess Tiana and her trumpet-playing alligator friend, Louis, on a magical journey through the glowing bayous of Louisiana. As they prepare for a vibrant Mardi Gras celebration, riders will encounter beloved characters from The Princess and the Frog, meet new faces, and become part of Tiana’s next inspiring chapter.
This log flume-style attraction delivers plenty of splashes, so be prepared to get wet! It’s highly recommended to pack ponchos or bring waterproof bags for electronics, wallets, and other items you want to keep dry.
